Interested in Holiday Shop? We are looking for someone to shadow Jackie next year & take over as Holiday Shop Committee Chair for the 2023-24 school year when Jackie ages out as a Hillcrest parent. Please reach out to Jackie to learn more.

The Hillcrest Holiday Shop is a PTA-run event that allows Hillcrest students to shop for holiday gifts for friends & family! Before the event, children will bring home a Holiday Shop envelope and parents can write a list of gift recipient names and a budget for each gift.

When you arrive for your shopping time with your Holiday Shop envelope and spending money (cash or check made out to Hillcrest PTA only, please), your child will be paired with a volunteer who can assist with choosing gifts based on the budget provided. Parents wait in the hall while the kids do their shopping, no peeking! To keep things a surprise, the gifts are wrapped (for free!) after the child pays for them.
Holiday Shop items are priced between $1-$15 and merchandise has been sourced from Fun Services and Five Below. There are a variety of gifts for children of all ages, adults, and even pets!
Masks will be mandatory at all times for shoppers and volunteers.
Many helpers are needed for the Holiday Shop to be a success! Please see below for the available opportunities.
  • Setup Crew (12/3): Unpack merchandise, set prices, and arrange merchandise on tables in the gym.
  • Shopper Helpers, ages 13+ (12/3 & 12/4): Help the shoppers choose gifts and manage their budgets.
  • Gift Wrappers (12/3 & 12/4): Help students wrap their purchases with bags and gift wrap provided.
  • Dismantle Crew (12/4): Inventory unsold items, pack boxes, and clean up the gym.
