Each year, our mentor committee assigns veteran Hillcrest parents to new incoming families to welcome them to our school and guide them throughout the year. If you would like to volunteer to be a new family mentor, please reach out to one of the committee chairs. Responsibilities include:
- Reaching out to introduce yourself and your family by phone or email and being available to answer any questions they might have.
- Forwarding any communications from the school and PTA to ensure that the new families receive all the current updates throughout the year.
- Dropping off a Hillcrest Yard sign at their home sometime near the beginning of school.
